The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought will this year be awarded for the 30th time. On the occasion of this anniversary, the European Parliament, in collaboration with Magnum Photos, organizes an exhibition which will present stories about human rights activists. The photos will be exhibited in the Festival Centre and in the Foyer of Schikaneder from 24 November until 10 December 2017.
The screening takes place on the occasion of the awarding of the European Parliament's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought 2017 in cooperation with the European Parliament Information Office in Austria. The Sakharov Prize was established in 1988 and is awarded each year to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the fight for human rights across the globe.
