BIM is joining the N-O-W-Network

After participating at the annual N-O-W-conference in Vienna, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institut for Human Rights is joining the N-O-W-network.

Based on a private initative, the network advanced to a nonpartisan and internationally enterprise, based in Vienna. Its goal is to aspire to a respectful and appreciative social coexistence. To this end, it links active initiatives and individuals, informs about social changes and supports the assumption of responsibility.

Trafficking in Children and the Best Interests of the Child

At 03. und 04. of April already the 17th OSCE Alliance against Trafficking in Persons Conference takes place in Vienna. During panel 2 on 04.04. Helmut Sax will discuss Protection of children and best practise. Also he will present the annual GRETA-Report focusing trafficking of children.

Human Trafficking and its Victims – new Developments

 

On the occasion of the EU-Anti-Trafficking Day, the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs organised a conference on 21 October 2016 in cooperation with OSCE Special Representative and Coordinator to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings, the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue (VIDC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at the Hofburg, Vienna.
