Event on the occasion of the EU Anti-Trafficking Day

On the occasion of the EU Anti-Trafficking Day, the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking organizes this conference on 'Human Trafficking and Human Rights - Access to Rights for Victims of Human Trafficking' in cooperation with the Italian OSCE-Chairmanship, the office of the OSCE Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM), which is an institutional member of the Task Force, will be represented in panel 2 ("Prevented access to rights from a gender perspective") by Helmut Sax. In cooperation with LEFÖ-IBF - Intervention Center for Trafficked Women, the BIM also organises workshop 3 on the topic of compensation of victims, to which Julia Planitzer will give an input.
