Conference on the Development and Significance of Human Rights in Austria

On the occasion of the commemoration and remembrance year "Österreich 2018" Christoph Grabenwarter, Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, and Oliver Rathkolb, Director of the Department for Contemporary History of the University of Vienna, invite to the conference "Human Rights 1948/1958" on the development and significance of human rights in Austria. On 10 September 2018, the first day of the conference, Manfred Nowak (BIM) will give a lecture at 16:00 on "The importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Fundamental Rights Development in Austria and Europe".

Die Austrian Centre for Citizenship Education in Schools will run an information desk.

Please note that the event will be held at the Convention Center of the Constitutional Court on 10 September 2018 and in the Juridicum of the University of Vienna on 11 September. Please register with until 31 July 2018. Further information can be found in the programme. The event will be held in German.
