Technology and Combating Human Trafficking – Chance or Challenge?

On the occasion of the EU Anti-Trafficking Day, the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking holds this year's conference with a focus on new developments that arise by using modern technology while combating human trafficking. It aims to highlight not only opportunities but also challenges within this context.

The conference is organised by the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the VIDC, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the University of Vienna (Juridicum), the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM), the International Network "End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography & Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes" (ECPAT), and the Victim Protection Organisations LEFÖ-IBF and MEN VIA as well as the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Julia Planitzer and Helmut Sax from BIM will speak on Child trafficking and monitoring of cybercrime.
