On the occasion of the EU-Anti-Trafficking Day, the Austrian Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs organised a conference on 21 October 2016 in cooperation with OSCE Special Representative and Coordinator to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings, the Vienna Institute for International Dialogue (VIDC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at the Hofburg, Vienna.
The conference focused specifically on recent developments and challenges regarding trafficking in human beings in the context of migration as well as labour exploitation in various forms. Furthermore, the new guidance on identification and support of trafficked children, which was elaborated in a working group and coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Families and Youth.

After intensive panel discussions, recommendations were elaborated in workshops. The conference was rounded up by a panel moderated by Helmut Sax (BIM, GRETA-member) in which the main results were presented and discussed.
