Karin Lukas elected as new Vice-President of the European Committee of Social Rights

The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights is proud to announce the re-election of BIM-expert Karin Lukas as Austrian member of the European Committee of Social Rights and her appointment as vice-president of the Committee.

Karin Lukas has been elected for the European Committee of Social Rights for the first time in 2010. Re-elected by the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, Karin Lukas will continue to monitor the compliance of the European Social Charter for a further period of six years.  As newly elected vice-president of the Committee, Karin Lukas is one out of 15 independent, impartial members entrusted with the task to monitor the implementation of the Charter by its 43 States Parties.
