BIM experts at international Roundtable on combatting trafficking in human beings

Julia Planitzer and Helmut Sax presented at the International Roundtable on ‘Preventing Human Trafficking through ‘Decent Work for Everybody’ and Combating Child Trafficking & Exploitation in Europe‘ organised by the Regional Implementation Initiative on Preventing & Combating Human Trafficking in Vienna.

Julia Planitzer gave a short talk on liability of companies for trafficking in human beings at the  International Roundtable on ‘Preventing Human Trafficking through ‘Decent Work for Everybody’ and Combating Child Trafficking & Exploitation in Europe´‘ organised by the Regional Implementation Initiative on Preventing & Combating Human Trafficking. The event gave a chance to discuss preliminary research findings of BIM’s ongoing project ‘Corporate Liability regarding Trafficking in Human Beings for the purpose of Labour Exploitation and Access to Effective Remedy ‘ with representatives from law enforcement authorities and NGOs from Europe.

In another panel, Helmut Sax discussed current issues related to trafficking in children.
