The Interlaken Conference on the Future of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has started on February the 18th. The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM) sees the ECtHR as an important actor in guaranteeing and promoting human rights standards in the Member States of the Council of Europe.
The BIM launches its recommendations that have been developed in the framework of a European research project (JURISTRAS) suggesting further improvements of the implementation of judgments of the ECtHR in Austria and supports the NGO recommendations on the reform of the ECtHR launched by Amnesty International.
