Workshop: Enclosure & Resistance

Cities, prisons and borders can all enclose us, limiting our freedom to move or express ourselves. But all forms of enclosure breed resistance too; great, conspicuous acts and creative, everyday acts of resistance. Based on the situation in Turkey, and as part of the film series #DIREN//BERXWE BIDE//RESIST, this workshop will unite performers, experts, activists and the public through the transformation of space and the replication of experience.

The workshop is organised by Alaz KÖYMEN (stage set designer), Bertan KOYUNCU (Architect; Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Şerife Ceren UYSAL (Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights; Executive Board Member of the Progressive Lawyers Association),

The workshop will be held in English. Places are limited. Please register at: nathalie.bruegger@univie.ac.at
