For several years the BIM is cooperating with the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs and the Austrian Development Agency regarding children's rights. BIM offers assistance and consultancy regarding international and European conferences and developments (Weltkindergipfel 2002“, EU-Kinderrechtsstrategie, ab 2006)
BIM prepared in 2003 (see downloads section below), for the Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs, acting as a Chair of the Human Security Network in 2002/03 a Child Rights Training Curriculum on Child Protection, Monitoring and Rehabilitiation (see download section below). BIM continued to work on the actual implementation of this curriculum and conducted in 2005 workshops intended to sensitize personnel sent into the field for child rights and child protection issues. With support by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), BIM furthermore assists the integration of children's rights into the Austrian Development Cooperation.
